Objective: Guide educators in defining and designing a virtual lab environment, including identifying practical tool requirements in terms of CPU, RAM, and disk space per session, based on workload intensity.

Step-by-Step Guide:

Determine how many students will simultaneously access the virtual lab environment. This helps in calculating the total resource requirements for smooth performance and user experience.

Define clearly when the virtual lab sessions will take place. Include frequency (daily, weekly), specific days, and time slots. Note clearly that students are not authorized to continue working after the scheduled end time of the lab.

Choose the appropriate operating system based on your curriculum and tool compatibility:

Identify all software applications that students will use during the lab sessions. Classify these tools according to the following workload categories:

List supplementary tools required to support the primary software applications:

Clearly indicate if the virtual labs will be launched from the institution’s Learning Management System (LMS), such as Moodle, or accessed directly using Microsoft Work or School accounts based on Single Sign-On (SSO).

Clearly document the collected information and forward it to the infrastructure administrator to prepare the necessary environment.

Example:

[32

post-8924","manual_documentation","type-manual_documentation","status-publish","hentry","manualdocumentationcategory-clover-documentation

1.
